It’s certainly been a while since my last newsletter way back in 2023. Much has happened since then. We’re almost at the one-year anniversary of Second Chance Core’s first official chapter on Royal Road, with the 19th chapter slated for release today.
As you know, my plan for Second Chance Core has always been to eventually give Claire her own novel. At first I thought the material on Royal Road would form the bulk of her story, but have since realised that it has become much too broad. I have given so many secondary characters so much story time, and each of them – especially Lily – has placed their own mark on the story.
So, it has become necessary to adapt my vision. Royal Road’s Second Chance Core will live on as a serial fiction, while I adapt it with a much stricter focus on Claire for her novel. In essence, readers will have two ways to experience her story: the streamlined version which will eventually be published (sometime during 2025), and the broader world version which will continue on Royal Road. Let’s see how it goes.
If 2025 seems very far away, don’t worry! There are at least two low-content books in the works, which will be released during the second and third quarters of 2024 respectively. I am also working on a full-sized LitRPG novel to be published at the end of the year. More on that later…
