Hi, I’m Retha Schwanke – a fantasy and romance author from the small town of Molteno, South Africa.
As a kid, I was always getting in trouble for reading storybooks when I was supposed to be studying. (No regrets!) That love of story eventually led to a degree in languages and a special focus on children’s and youth literature.

These days, I write cosy fantasy adventures and slow-burn romances — often with a touch of magic, mystery, and second chances. Whether it’s a small-town mystery set at Santa’s Village, or a dungeon-core tale with unexpected warmth, I love creating worlds that feel like a soft place to land.
